Balkan Peat – Double Cask has been aged for two years in small Bulgarian oak barrels before being transferred to 200-liter bourbon casks. This edition is the “big brother” of our 3rd Release, which won Gold for Best Danish Small Batch Whisky at the World Whisky Awards 2025.
Balkan Peat – Double Cask is lightly peated, with floral and honeyed elements. The smoke is subtle and smouldering, developing gradually on the finish.
Nose: Tropical fruit, honey, and a hint of smoke
Palate: Vanilla, peach, blossom honey, and sweet spices
Finish: Floral notes and smouldering peat smoke
Malt: Danish and Belgian organic barley malt
