We managed to get our hands on another one. By now, everyone knows that this Single Cask Whisky is a Macallan. Macallan aged 18 years and matured on a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt is always a treat. This particular bottling is bottled by Signatory Vintage with the Cask Strength Collection series. Cask Strength is pretty obvious, as the final alcohol content came out at 57.9% So if you are looking for a powerhouse with clear sherry influences, look no further! This topper will make any whisky lover happy.
This single malt was produced at an undisclosed Speyside distillery, beginning with ‘M’, matured for 18 years in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt and bottled by Signatory. Aromas of raisin, dried oak and chocolate orange fill the nose, leading to soft spice notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and stewed fruit on the palate.
