Schola Sarmenti Masserei Negroamaro is an elegant and fruity rosé made from 100% Negroamaro grapes grown in the Salento region of southern Italy. The grapes come from approximately 15-year-old vines cultivated using the traditional Guyot method, ensuring high quality and concentration. Harvesting is done by hand with careful selection, and fermentation takes place gently in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve freshness and varietal character.
The wine displays a pale ruby color with lively aromas of red berries such as strawberries and raspberries, complemented by soft floral notes. The palate is crisp, fresh, and well-balanced, featuring a distinct minerality that reflects the Salento terroir, where the proximity to the sea imparts a pleasant saline character. This rosé is light, elegant, and delightfully refreshing.
Masserei Negroamaro is perfect as an aperitif or paired with lighter dishes like seafood, sushi, antipasti, and fresh cheeses. Best served chilled at 12–14 °C.
