Sacred Coriander Gin is made with 100% organic coriander seeds, which are distilled under vacuum at a low temperature. Once the distillate is ready, it is blended into Coriander Gin. Unlike fresh coriander, coriander seeds have a flavor that closely resembles juniper, making this gin surprisingly pure in taste.
This gin consists of approximately 90% pure coriander seed distillate, with the remaining 10% composed primarily of juniper, along with other ingredients from Sacred Gin, such as Boswellia Sacra, a type of resin used for incense. The Latin name Sacra is what inspired the name Sacred.
Enjoy it neat or as a gin and tonic.
Sacred Spirits is located in Highgate, London, where Ian Hart distills vodka, gin, vermouth, and bitters. After earning a degree in chemistry, Ian worked as a broker on Wall Street but wanted to apply his education to something more tangible. Having collected Bordeaux wines for years, he initially sought to preserve their quality. Over time, he “invented” a gin, which he brought to his local pub. It was a huge success, and his wife Hilary soon became involved in the business.
What makes Sacred unique is that it is distilled under vacuum at low temperatures. Later, Ian was contacted by the bar manager at The Dukes Hotel in London, who had tasted his gin. Suddenly, Ian found himself traveling across London’s Tube, delivering gin all over the city. He eventually had to switch to a professional distributor, and the rest is history.
Thanks to its exceptional quality, Sacred Gin first spread across the UK and later beyond its borders. In 2013, Sacred Gin won double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. We are very proud to introduce Denmark to Sacred Spirits’ highly limited production of fewer than 30,000 bottles per year—a truly phenomenal gin producer.
