Providence 2021 Aged 3 Years 70 cl. 52%

Haitian Pure Single Rum

A Unique Rum – Providence 2021!

In the sugarcane paradise of Haiti, the Italian bottler Velier, led by rum enthusiast Luca Gargano, joined forces with La Maison du Whisky and the Barbancourt-Linge family (descendants of the famous Barbancourt rum dynasty) in 2018 to realize their dream of creating their own distillery. Distillerie de Port-au-Prince revives traditional methods and techniques, producing the finest sugarcane distillates under the Providence brand – with respect for the land, agriculture, and people.

Providence 2021 is made from syrup derived from the ancient and aromatic Cristalline sugarcane variety, which is organically cultivated by Michel Sajous in Saint-Michel de l’Attalaye. The rum’s rich aroma is enhanced by fermentation with diverse yeast strains. Following Haitian tradition, it is distilled twice in a copper Müller pot still and aged for three years in previously charred and reused distillery casks – as well as in ex-bourbon casks and barrels from the legendary “lost distillery” Caroni.

The result? A vibrant profile where roasted sugarcane and walnuts meet candied citrus fruits, ginger, and vanilla pudding, culminating in a soft, long, and complex finish.
