OP. Anderson Extra is based on the classic O.P. Anderson spices: anise, cumin and fennel, but is added an extra dimension by the addition of malt whiskey and oloroso sherry, giving a sense of dried fruit, sherry and oak. The taste is rounded off by a long and complex aftertaste with a hint of peat.
Colour: Light golden.
Aroma: Cumin and fennel mingle with sherry-like notes of dried fruit.

UP. Anderson is perhaps the most famous Swedish akvavit – and with good reason! Six months of aging in large oak casks transforms strong notes of anise, cumin and fennel into a mild and refreshing whole, which goes eminently well with both the Swedish smorgasbord and the classic Danish lunch table.
Today, more than 125 years after O.P. Anderson was launched, the base spirit is no longer made from potatoes, but wheat, and both it and the rest of the ingredients are organic.
