Muscadet Les Vignes du Bourg Blanc Melon de Bourgogne (ECO) 2024 75 cl.

Apolline et Julien Braud – Vigne – Loire France

In Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, the grape variety Melon de Bourgogne plays the leading role. It’s a relatively neutral, high-acid grape that can suddenly show a truly distinctive character when handled correctly.

It’s the combination of limestone-rich soils and ageing on the lees (sur lie) that transforms the wine into something special. The result is brilliantly crisp and mineral, yet with a soft, elegant texture, supported by juicy fruit where apples and pears are especially noticeable.

This is a white wine made to make seafood sing—anything pulled from salt or fresh water feels right at home with this vinous superstar.
