Mount Gay Black Barrel Double Cask Blend 70 cl. 43%
Premium Aged Barbados Rum – estd. 1703
Mount Gay Rum Black Barrel is rich and complex, but at the same time smooth and round. It is made from a mixture of intense and aromatic rums and is first aged in American ex-whiskey casks and then “finished” in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks.
In the nose, wood and butter notes are balanced by dried fruit and spices. The taste is bold and aromatic with notes of gingerbread, lychee and toffee. It is warm and medium-bodied with a long finish.

MOUNT GAY ROOM
John Sober owned a piece of land in Barbados and inherited a small distillery on Mount Gilboa in 1703. The Sober family hired Sir John Gay Alleyne – fourth generation from Barbados – to usher in a new era for the distillery. His achievements were so successful that the Sober family renamed the distillery in his honor – Mount Gay.
Mount Gay Rum is imbued with expertise, craftsmanship and quality with sugar cane from its own plantations and water from an underground spring that runs beneath the distillery. The water is brought up from the artesian well, which was dug in 1703, when it all started.
