TASTING: The prolonged aging gives this selected grappa reserve a unique sensory imprint. Its exceptionally deep color hints at the aromatic power and smoothness that are found during tasting. The barrel has developed the spicy aromas exceptionally, with distinct notes ranging from pepper and cloves to nutmeg and brown tobacco, from anise to licorice.
BOTTLES PRODUCED: from barrel no.1291, 739 bottles; from barrel no.1202, 541 bottles
PACKAGING: All bottles, strictly hand-numbered, are presented in an elegant oak box, which gives the packaging a touch of sobriety.

The Producer:
Paolo Marolo is the founder of this remarkable distillery, located on the outskirts of Alba, between the renowned wine regions of Barolo and Barbaresco in Piedmont. Marolo enjoys great recognition and is highly respected among connoisseurs and restaurateurs in Italy, Europe, and the United States.
The distillery was founded in 1977 and employs the artisanal discontinuo a bagnomaria method (batch distillation in a water bath). Here, the grape pomace is heated indirectly together with water to ensure gentle handling of the raw material.
