The Macallan M Decanter is the absolute highlight of The Macallan ‘1824 Series’. This is the most expensive whiskey ever – created based on the distillery’s rarest whiskies. The Macallan M Decanter is born from a collaboration between three masters in each of their fields: The creative marketing guru and luxury connoisseur Fabien Baron, the exclusive crystal glass manufacturer Lalique and of course the distillery The Macallan, which has a single unique goal: To create the world’s most sophisticated whisky.
The Macallan M Decanter is a design masterpiece conceived by Fabien Baron, brought to life by Lalique, and which with The Macallan’s carefully crafted single malt whiskey has found its purpose.
Among the darkest of The Macallan releases, Macallan M, the 2022 release, shines a light on a rare selection of irreplaceable casks. Prolonged contact with sherry oak has polished a deep and brooding single malt. This rare and exclusive spirit is the epitome of transparency as the whiskey’s quality shines in the Lalique crystal decanter that encases our naturally dark spirit. A personification of the rich influence that sherry seasoned oak casks have on the spirit that rests within.
Presented in a flawless crystal decanter. Individually numbered, it is the expert work of Lalique, a doyen of French glassmaking since 1888. The decanter’s six facets reflect and refract the light, dancing the dark whiskey to life.
Their inspiration comes from The Macallan’s six defining pillars, namely The Estate, our Curiously Small Stills, Exceptional Oak Fade, Sherry Wine, Natural Color and Mastery. Together they underpin the renowned quality and rich character of our whisky.

The carafe was designed by the creative guru Fabien Baron, whose vision unites aesthetic expression with commercial art in its finest form. His dramatic concept challenged Lalique considerably. The sculptural geometry of the vessel pushes crystal glass craftsmanship into new territory, a vision for the future, created to respect a glory of the past.
