The whisky is produced under the Longrow name, representing Springbank’s most heavily peated and smoky style. It is double distilled – unlike Springbank’s typical 2½ times distillation – resulting in a heavier, more oily, and intense character. Distillation takes place on traditional equipment in small batches with slow distillations to ensure maximum flavor development and complexity.
Springbank is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that handles the entire production process on-site – from floor malting and fermentation to distillation and maturation. This complete control over every detail is evident in the finished product.
