The Knockando distillery is located in a village of the same name in Moray, Scotland. Knockando was founded by John Thompson in 1898 and is Gaelic for “black hill”. Today, the distillery belongs to Diageo, a company that operates worldwide and produces alcoholic beverages. Knockando 18 Years Old Slow Matured is aged for at least 18 years in sherry casks.
Tasting notes: Colour: amber. Nose: Sherry, hint of malt, nuts, ripe flowers, pears, tangerines, vanilla, brown sugar. Taste: Bloody, nutty, full-bodied, fruity notes, hints of wood, almond, malt, full grain cakes. Finish: Long lasting, warm and sweet.
