Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, a region known for its traditional style combining fruitiness, brine and subtle peat smoke. This expression has been matured for 12 years in a carefully selected mix of approximately 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, preserving its full body and authentic character.

On the nose, Kilkerran 12 reveals layers of lemon zest, vanilla, honey and freshly baked sponge cake. Subtle peat smoke weaves through aromas of dried fruits, light oak and coastal salinity. Hints of leather, almonds and soft spices add further depth and complexity.

The palate is rich, oily and well-balanced. Initial sweetness from citrus and malt gives way to flavours of toffee, marzipan, cinnamon and cracked pepper. A waxy texture and gentle minerality contribute to a mouth-coating, satisfying experience. The peat is never overpowering, instead acting as an elegant, smoky thread throughout the whisky.

The finish is long and drying, with lingering notes of roasted nuts, bitter chocolate, soft smoke and a faint saltiness that refreshes the palate.
