Kilchoman 14 Years Old 20th Anniversary Cask Series 70 cl. 55%
Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Kilchoman has released a unique whisky series made up of 20 carefully selected casks – one for each year of the distillery’s history. The 14 Years Old expression is the oldest whisky ever bottled by Kilchoman, showcasing how the distillery’s distinctive character evolves with age and maturation. Matured in five specially chosen Oloroso sherry butts filled in 2011 and bottled in 2025 at 55% ABV, this release is both powerful and elegant, limited to just over 3,000 bottles.
The nose reveals a deep and complex bouquet of dried fruits such as figs and raisins, intertwined with dark chocolate, orange peel, roasted nuts, leather, and Kilchoman’s signature peat smoke. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, with sherry sweetness merging seamlessly with earthy peat, cherries, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering notes of bonfire smoke, raisins, charred wood, and a delicate maritime salinity.
Founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, Kilchoman has established itself as one of Islay’s most unique distilleries. As one of the very few farm distilleries in Scotland, the entire process takes place on-site – from growing and malting the barley to distilling, maturing, and bottling. This “from barley to bottle” philosophy ensures a whisky with a strong sense of place, capturing the rugged coastal landscape and peaty soils of Islay.
Kilchoman 14 Years Old – 20th Anniversary Cask Series (55%) is a whisky for collectors and connoisseurs alike – a tribute to two decades of passion and craftsmanship. Best enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped glass, where its complexity can fully unfold.
