The small Japanese distillery Hinotori was founded in 1949 and has launched this limited edition on the market for its 70th anniversary.
Hinotori’ is Japanese and means ‘phoenix’, which is the appropriate illustration on the label and gift box.
Hinotori 5 Years Old Blended Japanese Whiskey is a five-year-old blend of grain and malt whiskeys aged in Refill Mizunara oak casks.
It is bottled without chill filtration and without colouring.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Light gold.
Nose: freshly malted barley, dried fruit.
Taste: Roasted nuts, vanilla.
Finish: Long lasting, fresh.
