Hampden Estate 1753 is the latest release from the historic distillery in Jamaica. The rum is named after the year the distillery was founded – it’s the oldest on the island! And not much has changed since then: they still use copper pot stills, natural yeast, full tropical aging, and zero added sugar. 1753 is aged for 3 years and boasts a high ester level, for which Hampden is especially renowned. A perfect introduction to the distillery’s unique style!
Colour: Pale amber.
Nose: Distinctly Hampden with overripe tropical fruit, nutmeg, engine room, and citrus.
Palate: A powerful rum that carries its 46% ABV beautifully. Warm spices, a hint of vanilla, and lifted notes of mango, pineapple, and banana.
