Graham’s Aged Tawny Ports are based on more than 200 years of tradition, and are a tribute to the craftsmanship and time-honored skills that have been passed down from generation to generation.
This Graham’s 50 Year Old Tawny Port has been carefully overseen through two generations of Master Blenders, Peter and Charles Symington. A unique testament to exceptional craftsmanship and dedication.
Two of the wine’s components are of particular significance. The first is wine from 1969 known as ‘CAS Reserve’, which was originally set aside by Peter Symington to mark the birth of his son, Charles, from whom it takes its name. The second consists of wines from 1970 and 1973. The port was blended in 1982, and over 50% has evaporated over the following decades, resulting in astonishing concentration.
When drinking Graham’s 50 Year Old Tawny, it is the centerpiece around which everything revolves. It should be enjoyed lightly chilled or paired with mature cheeses, nuts, or creamy desserts.
Complex aromas unfold in layers of orange blossom, fruitcake, caramel, and tobacco, all in a balanced and eminently concentrated sensory experience. Full-bodied, rich, and creamy on the tongue with a lively acidity that keeps the experience in perfect balance. You will encounter notes of spicy oak, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a lingering, pleasant finish.

A wine that immediately impresses you with its textural richness and focus on the palate, yet it is its overall delicacy, finesse, and perfect poise on the finish that really resonate. There can be only one mark for a wine with this provenance and caliber.

Dark amber and yellow edge color. Aromas of peanut brittle, caramel, tile, peat, and toffee. Full-bodied and so dense with a nectar-like intensity with toffee and caramel. Coffee bean. Acidity keeps it alive and energetic. So aromatic. Orange toffee. Only a few hundred cases made. Drink now.
