Glencadam Reserva de Madeira Wine Cask Finish is an elegant Highland single malt crafted in small batches. The whisky is first matured in high-quality ex-bourbon American oak casks before being married and finished in Madeira wine casks sourced from Portugal’s Madeira Islands. Bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and no chill-filtration, it retains a full, authentic character.

On the nose, inviting aromas of baked apples, forest berries and custard tarts mingle with syrup sponge cake, vanilla and a touch of nutmeg. The palate brings a wash of spiced fruits, cantaloupe melon, golden raisins and summer fruit pudding, layered with dark chocolate and ginger spice. The finish is long and indulgent, with brittle toffee, mocha and chocolate truffle wrapped in cosy cake spices.

This is a whisky for those who enjoy a fruit-forward, dessert-like style with a clear wine cask influence yet plenty of balance. Ideal as an after-dinner dram, served alongside dark chocolate, fruity desserts or a piece of mature hard cheese.
