Origin & Bottling:
This exclusive Glen Grant single malt was distilled in the year 2000 and matured for 25 years in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt (#6). Bottled in April 2025 under Signatory Vintage’s Symington’s Choice series, only 679 individually numbered bottles were released – all at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration and without added colour.
Nose:
Rich and inviting with notes of baked apple, honeyed malt and subtle blossoms, framed by sweet layers of raisin syrup, orange peel and polished oak.
Palate:
Silky in texture with fig jam and treacle toffee, developing into deep layers of spiced chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, and a lively hint of citrus.
Finish:
Long and warming, with impressions of sherry-soaked fruitcake, gentle oak tannins and a lingering touch of vanilla-sweet malt.
Summary:
An elegantly balanced dram where Glen Grant’s signature fruitiness and finesse meet the depth of first-fill Oloroso sherry. The high strength adds both intensity and texture – a rare and highly desirable release for collectors and whisky connoisseurs.
