Jura 2009 54.2% is a 16-year-old single malt from the Isle of Jura, bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection. Maturation in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt gives the whisky a rich and nuanced profile, where coastal salinity and herbal notes meet raisins, baked apples, dark caramel, toasted pine nuts and spiced oak. Despite its high strength, it remains balanced and characterful, with clear sherry cask influence without losing Jura’s maritime and slightly rugged distillery character.
