J. S. RASCH VIN & SPIRITUS
J. S. Rasch Wine and Colonial Goods has been selling life’s finer things since 1807. The current ownership goes back two generations.

Seductively intense and brilliant red color.
The nose, with rare brilliance and precision, reveals fruity aromas of ripe blackcurrant and blueberry; then, after aeration, the floral and blonde tobacco notes complete this rich and complex aromatic palette.
The attack on the palate is full, dense and reveals exceptionally coated and silky tannins. The structure is continuous, deep, long, firm, perfectly enveloping and rich in aromas of black fruits and spicy nuances.
The very distinguished structure of this Trotanoy extends into an endless, crisp finish that retains all its freshness.
The greatness of the 2018 vintage is embodied here in remarkable harmony.

About Château Trotanoy
Château Trotanoy is only a (long) stone’s throw from the world-famous Petrus – one of the really, really great wines in Pomerol. Château Trotanoy creates wines that are beautifully full-bodied with an almost creamy fullness and hints of chocolate. They are also tannic wines, so the wines should be stored for at least 8-10 years before drinking. It’s hard, we know.
Château Trotanoy is not that well known among the general population, but the wines consistently score sky high and often higher than Petrus.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in small temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels (60-90% new) for 18-20 months. The wine is unfiltered in the bottle.
