This famous Pomerol estate has been run by the Moueix family since the 1950s and produces a wine that is always a classic of the appellation and highly sought after. The vineyard is now 18.7 hectares after several parcels were purchased on the Pomerol plateau and Chateau Providence combined. The smaller plots – around 5 hectares – are referred to Lagrange Pomerol. The vineyard is planted with 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and (rarely for Pomerol) 3% Petit Verdot.
