Celiane Rosé is French and fabulous; a pleasantly dry rosé wine with good body and aromatic, generous fruit combined with elegance — a true hit. There are no fashionable appellations anywhere nearby, which means well-made wines like this offer excellent value for money.
The grapes come from south-western France, from vineyards near the Thau Lagoon, roughly halfway between Montpellier and Narbonne. The proximity to the sea softens the southern French heat, while the volcanic stone in the soil gives lovely freshness to the Grenache and Cinsault grapes.
Careful vinification has resulted in a dry rosé wine with delicate aromas of red berries, strawberries and raspberries, along with a floral note. The wine is made in a lively, joyful style, completely free from heavy or gloomy aromas.
A perfect wine as an informal aperitif, or with lighter dishes such as salads — and why not with all kinds of salmon or a rustic bouillabaisse?
Best enjoyed young and served chilled: straight from the fridge and up to around 10°C.
