Bowmore 1996 23 Years Single Malts of Scotland (SMS) 70 CL 56,1%

A 1996 Bowmore from indie bottler Elixir Distillers, matured in a single sherry butt for 23 years, before being bottled in October 2019 as part of its Single Malts of Scotland series. Coastal aromas of sea salt and seaweed mingle with wildflowers, burning peat, rosemary and grilled pineapple fill the nose. The palate offers notes of sweet smoke, poached pears, salt flakes and wildflowers.
