Akvavit Bornholm Christmas Aquavit Organic 37.5% – 50 cl is an organic Danish Christmas aquavit from Bornholm Spirits. Crafted from carefully selected organic ingredients, it brings together caraway, clove, caramel, honey and orange to create a smooth, well-rounded and heart-warming seasonal spirit.

Style & character

Pale golden in colour and bottled at 37.5% ABV, it is slightly lighter than many traditional aquavits, making it very approachable while still full of flavour.

On the nose you’ll find:

• classic caraway and gentle clove

• sweet citrus and orange peel

• soft notes of caramel and honey

The palate is smooth, rounded and well balanced:

• warm spice from caraway and clove

• a delicate, natural sweetness from caramel and honey

• a refreshing lift of orange and citrus that brightens the finish

The finish is medium-long, cosy and lightly sweet, with lingering clove, orange and honeyed spice.

Serving & food

Serve well chilled at around 6–10 °C in a small schnapps or aquavit glass. It pairs beautifully with traditional Nordic Christmas dishes: pickled herring, smoked and cured salmon, prawns, eggs, pork roast, meatballs and rich cold cuts. Thanks to its softer profile and lower strength, it also works nicely as a gentle after-dinner Christmas toast or as a tasteful seasonal gift.
