Bepi Tosolini – MOST Acquavite ex Barolo Barrique 70 cl. 40%

Handcrafted Premium Italian Acquavite/Grappa – Udine

Bepi Tosolini – MOST Acquavite ex Barolo Barrique is a refined, cask-matured grape-must spirit (MOST) shaped by barrique casks that previously held Barolo. It’s a fascinating crossroads between the distillate’s clean fruit-driven core and Barolo’s classic world of roses, tea, spice, tannin and oak. The result feels unmistakably Italian: elegant, dry and structured—yet rounded and deep, with wine-like nuances that make it a serious sipping spirit.

What does MOST mean?

While grappa is distilled from grape pomace (skins and pressings), acquavite di MOST is distilled from fermented grape must/juice. This often creates a more “wine-like” and fruit-pure expression, with a clearer sense of grape and a smoother, more polished texture. The experience can recall fine fruit eaux-de-vie—yet with a distinctly Italian signature.

Ex Barolo – what the cask brings

Barolo is famous for its aromatic hallmarks: dried roses, violet, tea leaves, spice, red fruit and a discreet earthy minerality. Ageing a distillate in ex-Barolo barriques doesn’t turn it into wine—but the casks leave an imprint through:

  • a gentle wine-like red-fruit nuance

  • a dry, elegant tannic feel (structure)

  • spice and a tea-like aromatic lift

  • and a more complex, rounded mouthfeel

That’s what makes MOST ex Barolo so compelling for both wine lovers and spirits enthusiasts.

Nose

Nuanced and wine-inspired:

  • red berries (cherry, dried raspberry)

  • dried rose/violet floral tones

  • tea leaves and a fine aromatic bitterness

  • vanilla, lightly toasted oak and warm spice

  • a clean, fruity core from the must distillate keeping everything elegant

Palate

Dry and balanced, with clear barrique structure:

  • it opens with clean fruity warmth and a smooth texture

  • mid-palate expands into spice, red fruit and gentle oak toast

  • the Barolo cask brings an elegant dryness and wine-like depth

  • the finish ties it together with a light tannic grip that adds length and tension

Finish

Long, warm and harmonious—fruit gradually shifts into spice and drier, wine-like tones. Tea/spice echoes and a touch of red fruit linger beautifully.

Serving

  • Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a tulip-shaped glass.

  • Give it 2–3 minutes in the glass to let the wine-like floral notes open up.

  • A single drop of water can lift the aromatics if you want more freshness.

Food & moments

  • Brilliant after dinner, especially following red meat, mushrooms, truffle or umami-rich dishes.

  • Great with dark chocolate, toasted nuts or salty aged cheeses.

  • And ideal for wine lovers who want a spirit that “speaks Barolo”.
