Becker Crémant de Alsace Rosé – ECO 75 CL

Organic French Sparkling Wine

Although Cremant d’Alsace only gained AOC status in 1976, Alsace has a long tradition of high-quality sparkling wine. They use the traditional method with a secondary fermentation in the bottle to make the wine sparkling, just like in Champagne, and this rosé edition from Domaine Jean Becker is made from 100% organically grown and hand-harvested Pinot Noir.

Color: Pink.
Aroma: Small, red berries such as currants, wild strawberries and a hint of rhubarb.
Tasting notes: Refined, dry and mineral. Great balance and understated red fruit.

Serving suggestion: Enjoy it chilled, e.g. with light meat or fresh summer salads.

Domaine Jean Becker is an old family-owned winery in Alsace with roots dating back to 1610. Since 1999, they have grown organic wine in their vineyards and have therefore only offered organic wine since 2001. Siblings Martine, Phillipe and Francois Becker, who run the house today, stay together with the rest of the company in Zellenberg in Alsace and most of the wines are made from the classic Alsatian white wine grapes: Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer, etc. but the family also makes individual red wines from Pinot Noir. Becker also grows wine on several of the very large Grand Cru fields, including: Froehn, Schoenenbourg, Mandelberg and Sonnenglantz.
