Beaujolais-Villages Joseph Drouhin AOP 2022 75 cl.
Maison Joseph Drouhin – Bourgogne France
Fresh, refined, and intense wine with beautiful notes of violets, peonies, and red fruit syrup. Silky smooth and uncomplicated enjoyment – just as it should be. The grapes were harvested by hand and vinified in the traditional Beaujolais style: whole grape clusters, maceration for 4–10 days, and maturation in stainless steel tanks.
Although Beaujolais is part of Burgundy, the region differs from Burgundy in many ways. Of the 35,000 hectares of Gamay planted worldwide, 22,000 hectares are in the Beaujolais area, spread across 38 villages. Maison Joseph Drouhin has always had a special connection to the region, and since their pioneering work in the early 1950s, they have tirelessly promoted it worldwide. Maison Joseph Drouhin’s Beaujolais-Villages is made from grapes harvested in villages renowned for the quality of their terroir and microclimate – a truly fine representative of Beaujolais-Villages.
