Fresh, refined, and intense wine with beautiful notes of violets, peonies, and red fruit syrup. Silky smooth and uncomplicated enjoyment – just as it should be. The grapes were harvested by hand and vinified in the traditional Beaujolais style: whole grape clusters, maceration for 4–10 days, and maturation in stainless steel tanks.

Although Beaujolais is part of Burgundy, the region differs from Burgundy in many ways. Of the 35,000 hectares of Gamay planted worldwide, 22,000 hectares are in the Beaujolais area, spread across 38 villages. Maison Joseph Drouhin has always had a special connection to the region, and since their pioneering work in the early 1950s, they have tirelessly promoted it worldwide. Drouhin – authentic Burgundy with a focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. At Maison Joseph Drouhin, there is a strong awareness of caring for the environment surrounding the vineyards. Spraying is avoided as much as possible, and instead, the preference is to weed between the vines. Organic fertilizers are widely used to nourish the soil, and biological treatments help protect the vines.
The future is always at the center, guided by the family’s strong philosophy that there must also be something left for the next generation. In fact, the process has already advanced to the point where the estate’s Chablis wines are now produced exclusively through organic methods. Only in Burgundy is there still occasional reliance on modern tools.
Maison Joseph Drouhin is not only a wine producer but also a négociant, which means they purchase grapes from carefully selected growers and vinify them themselves to meet the house’s high standards. The headquarters, located in the old town of Beaune, features long, deep passages and cellars stretching like an underground spider’s web beneath the streets. It is in these underground cellars that all the wines are aged before being released, to the delight of Burgundy lovers around the world.
