This exclusive Danish private cask release was distilled on 15 October 2008 and bottled on 31 July 2024, at a robust 55.4 % ABV. Aged for 15 years in a single first-fill Oloroso hogshead (Cask No. 2008/979), only 296 bottles were produced, making it exceptionally rare and collected.
The nose is deeply expressive, presenting rich aromas of dried fruits—raisins, figs—and undertones of light chocolate, toffee, honey and subtle oak spice. The Oloroso influence is clear and generous, giving the aroma layers of depth and warmth.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and refined. Flavours of honeyed dried fruits meld with notes of light chocolate, caramel, and gentle spice—think cinnamon or warm soft oak. Despite its strength, it remains rounded and elegantly structured.
The finish is long, warming and lingering, with spices, toasted oak and soft earthy sweetness. Un-chillfiltered and natural in colour, it reflects the pure cask strength character—ideal for the connoisseur seeking a bold, sherried expression from Arran distilled craftsmanship.
