Amour de Deutz Rosé 2013 Vintage Champagne 75cl is a blend of 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, creating a perfectly balanced and structured wine that is rich, charming and seductive on both the nose and palate. All fruit was hand harvested and then pressed and vinified at Deutz’s vineyard in Aÿ before aging for 8 years on the lees and a further 9 months after dégorgement before release.

The 2013 Brut Rosè Amour de Deutz is ethereal, gracious and full of charm. Crushed flowers, mint, white pepper and cranberry are all nicely lifted throughout. A fine mousse and noticeable persistence add to a feeling of refinement. The lighter style here makes me think the 2013 is best enjoyed as an aperitif, and it will make for a great aperitif, that much is sure.
