Princesa was a Spanish warship – a 70-gun ship of the line – that British Admiral Rodney took over at the Battle of Cape St. Vincent in 1780. The ship was renamed HMS Princessa, and participated under the British flag at the Battle of the Saints. The rum, which is named after the ship, is a blend of 5-9 year old rum from St. Lucia Distillers, aged in bourbon casks and port casks.
