Punt e Mes is produced from dry white wine to which alcohol is added and sweetened with sugar, as well as a secret mixture of aromatic herbs, which help to give Punt e Mes its very own special scent, taste and character. It is a bittersweet vermouth that gets its bitterness from kenin, which is also found in tonic.

Antonio Benedetto Carpano studied in 1786 and was particularly interested in herbs and flowers. This led to him becoming the first to make vermouth as we know it today by steeping various herbs and spices in wine.

Today, Carpano is still a family-run company, recognized worldwide for its high-quality vermouth.
