The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve is a rich, elegant and complex Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the renowned Scottish distillery The Dalmore. It was created as a whisky to pair beautifully with fine cigars, yet it also has enough balance, sweetness and depth to be enjoyed entirely on its own.
The whisky is matured in a combination of American white oak ex-bourbon casks, Cabernet Sauvignon red wine barriques and exclusive Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from González Byass. This cask combination creates a deep and layered flavour profile where vanilla, fruit, spice, dark chocolate and oak come together in a refined and harmonious style.
On the nose, it offers warm notes of cinnamon, vanilla and red fruits. The palate is rounded, full-bodied and elegant, with flavours of tropical fruit, banana toffee, vanilla ice cream, dried fruit and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with clear notes of orange zest, dark chocolate and crushed spices.
The Dalmore is one of Scotland’s most iconic whisky distilleries, founded in 1839 by Sir Alexander Matheson on the banks of the Cromarty Firth in Alness, north of Inverness. The distillery is strongly associated with its tradition of complex cask maturation and its famous twelve-point royal stag emblem, rooted in the history of Clan Mackenzie. Over time, The Dalmore has become especially known for its use of carefully selected sherry, wine and port casks, which help define the house’s rich and luxurious style.
