Italian Everyday Favorites is a package for anyone looking for white wines that feel generous, food-friendly, and easy to return to again and again. Here, three different Italian expressions come together — a soft and fruity appassimento wine, an elegant and fresh fiano, and a more structured, terroir-driven grechetto. Together, they create a selection that works just as well for simple weekday dinners as for weekend lunches, antipasti, and summer evenings when you want to open something good without making it complicated.
Passi Reali Bianco Appassimento
A soft and inviting white wine with notes of ripe tropical fruit, citrus, peach, and yellow apples, where the appassimento method adds extra roundness and a gentle fruity sweetness. The palate is full, yet balanced by freshness and minerality, making the wine very easy to enjoy. It pairs especially well with pasta, fish and seafood dishes, chicken, and vegetable dishes, especially those with creamy or light sauces. The wine is made from trebbiano and chardonnay grown in organic vineyards in Abruzzo. The grapes are dried for around 20 days before fermentation, concentrating flavour and structure, and after fermentation the wine is aged for two months on the lees in stainless steel to preserve both fruit and softness.
Schola Sarmenti – Véspre Fiano Bianco
An elegant and aromatic white wine with fine notes of acacia blossom, citrus, and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious, and lightly mineral, with an appetising saline note in the finish that makes it especially useful at the table. It pairs very well with fish, seafood, pasta with lemon or herbs, lighter chicken dishes, and antipasti. The wine is made from 100 percent fiano in Salento, from vines around 10–15 years old trained according to the Guyot system. The grapes are hand-harvested in ventilated crates, and the wine is vinified and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the grape’s pure aromatics and fresh expression.
Plani Arche – Grechetto
A more characterful and food-oriented white wine with notes of pear, peach, lemon, and a lightly spicy, almost saline edge. The palate is denser and more structured than many other everyday wines, with fine freshness, a touch of texture, and a long finish that makes it both interesting and highly useful with food. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish, seafood, chicken, risotto, mushroom dishes, and rustic Italian vegetable dishes. The wine is made from 100 percent grechetto in Umbria grown on calcareous clay soils. The grapes are harvested by hand in two passes to achieve both acidity and ripeness, gently whole-bunch pressed, and fermented for around 20 days at low temperature using a combination of natural and organic yeast. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and rests on the lees for six months, adding extra depth and structure.
