Crisp, fresh and juicy
Diamond Hill Shiraz Rosé offers a wonderfully rich fruit flavour of ripe, juicy berries with light spicy notes. It is an exceptionally pleasant wine with a lovely aroma of fresh strawberries and summer. In the glass, the wine is dense and bright with a clear red colour.
The wine is beautifully refreshing and should be enjoyed well chilled, for example with salads, light meats, pasta or as an aperitif.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C
Production
The grapes ripen under clear sunshine and are fully ripe when harvested in February. After being picked early in the morning, the still-cool bunches are brought in for destemming and pressing. Fermentation takes place at a low, controlled temperature in order to preserve the fruit richness of the grapes in the final wine.
The skins remain in contact with the must for a few hours to extract flavour, colour and structure. Thanks to the intense Australian sun, the grapes naturally have a very high colour content in the skins, which often results in rosé wines with a deep colour – and this wine is no exception.
CO₂ – environmentally friendly
Transporting wine in bulk from the country of origin to be bottled in Denmark results in a significantly reduced CO₂ footprint compared with importing wine already bottled. In recognition of this lower CO₂ impact – as well as the quality and economic advantages – bulk wine now represents a steadily growing share of our business.
