Bepi Tosolini Grappa Moscato is an elegant, highly aromatic grappa made exclusively from the pomace of Moscato grapes. Only selected, top-quality grapes are used, and the pomace is distilled very soon after pressing to preserve the fresh, floral and grapey aromas. The result is a smooth, balanced and intensely aromatic spirit with a clear varietal character.
The producer, Bepi Tosolini, is a family-owned distillery based in Friuli in north-eastern Italy, founded in 1943 by Giuseppe “Bepi” Tosolini. Today it is recognised as one of the benchmarks for high-quality grappa, combining fresh pomace, slow artisanal distillation in copper pot stills and meticulous control over every stage of production – from vineyard to bottle.
Nose
The nose is intense and expressive: white grapes, acacia honey, orange blossom, rose and violet, with hints of meadow flowers, fresh mint and cut grass. A gentle musky note underlines the naturally perfumed character of Moscato.
Palate
On the palate, the grappa is smooth, rounded and slightly sweet at the start, with flavours of grape juice, honey, orange blossom and delicate white flowers. The mid-palate shows perfumed notes of violet and rose, backed by bright citrus zest and a subtle herbal freshness. A faint crack of black pepper adds lift and keeps the sweetness in check, leaving the impression clean and refreshing.
Finish
The finish is long, elegant and grapey, with lingering honey, white flowers, mint and juicy, tangy grapes. It remains very pure and fresh, with no harsh edges – just a gentle warmth and a refined, aromatic tail.
Serving
Serve slightly chilled or at around 14–16 °C in a small tulip-shaped glass to concentrate the aromas. Grappa Moscato is an excellent digestif after a meal, and pairs beautifully with fruit-based desserts, panna cotta, light cakes – or simply enjoyed on its own as a fragrant, uplifting end to the evening.
