Lodi California – Hahn Winery

The American Redwood Bourbon Barrels Zinfandel is not quite a normal Lodi zinfandel, as this wine is aged in heavily toasted American oak barrels previously used to age bourbon/American whiskey.

The wine is produced from zinfandel from Lodi, which contains California’s oldest vines of precisely zinfandel, which thrives in the area’s dry, warm climate.

This zinfandel offers both aroma and taste of sun-ripened blackberries, mulberries, a little raspberry, spices and vanilla, which are balanced by user-friendly, silky tannins.

There is great fullness and the volume is turned up on all parameters.
If you are after finesse and delicate nuances, you should hurry on, but if you are into hard-pumped power, then try this wine!

We recommend enjoying the wine with grilled red meat, barbeque or a fierce burger.

Enjoyed at approx. 16-18° – preferably served in spacious glasses.
