Springbank 25 Years 2022 is an extremely sought-after Campbeltown single malt from one of Scotland’s most iconic distilleries. The 2022 release is composed of whiskies matured for a full 25 years in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a deep, mature and highly complex profile. You get Springbank’s trademark maritime, slightly oily and gently peated character layered with sweet fruits, vanilla, nuts and well-integrated oak spice. The bottling strength sits in the mid-40% range and, as always with Springbank, it is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured.
Style and flavour profile (indicative)
Nose: Ripe red and yellow fruits, dried fruits, sea breeze, honey, vanilla, nuts and polished oak, with delicate hints of smoke and leather.
Palate: Silky and multi-layered. Notes of dried fruits, citrus, light and dark grapes, vanilla, caramel, nutty and spicy oak, plus a gentle mineral and coastal character. The peat smoke is subtle and beautifully woven into the oily texture.
Finish: Long, dry and refined, with lingering fruit sweetness, sea salt, oak, smoke, spice and a light, balancing bitterness.
