A rare and distinguished single cask release from Mannochmore, bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their prestigious Symington’s Choice Cask Strength Collection. Distilled on 17 September 2008 and matured for 16 years in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead (cask no. 1), it was bottled in 2025 at its natural cask strength of 54.4 % ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. Only 351 individually numbered bottles were released.
On the nose, expect an opulent PX sweetness with aromas of dark dried fruit, antique leather, and a hint of beeswax — reminiscent of a richly aged wooden cabinet. The palate is heavy and oily, full-bodied with luxurious notes of dates, caramel cream, chocolate truffles, and undertones of dried figs and espresso. The finish is long-lasting and warming, featuring spiced oak, dark chocolate, and a touch of candied orange peel.
