This Gordon & Macphail Glenlivet was distilled on 13th May 1974 and bottled in December 2010. It is one of only 245 bottles from a first fill sherry hogshead.

Tasting Notes

Nose
G&M: Very mild with cooked fruits, led by fresh strawberry jam. Hints of sweet mince pies emerge. Water increases the oily note, soon vanishing into creme caramel.
Taste
G&M: Sweet and voluptuous, warming and drying as you swallow. A sweet taste with elements of bitter dark chocolate. Becomes sweeter and drier with water, and hints of burnt caramel and chocolate.
Finish
G&M: A long finish.
