Glen Scotia 12 Years Amontillado Sherry Finish is the distillery’s 2022 annual seasonal release. It has aged in first fill bourbon casks, and has been finished for 12 months in Amontillado sherry casks. Together it gives a nice complex single malt.
Colour: Amber.
Scent: A little sweetness with vanilla, honey and caramel and fine maritime notes.
Tasting notes: Spicy notes with creamy vanilla and salted caramel. Long nutty aftertaste. Like Campbeltown at Christmas time.
Serving suggestion: Enjoy it plain, possibly with a few drops of water.
Glen Scotia was born in a place like no other – a small town on the west coast of Scotland that was to become the ‘Victorian Whiskey Capital of the World’. The people of Campbeltown are stoic and proud and our whiskey has always had a wonderful way of bringing us together in times of need. Glen Scotia triumphed against the odds, with about thirty other local distilleries falling. Today it stands proudly among the last of the many, thanks to the community spirit that defines Campbeltown.
