“Marbled Treasures” shows Dailuaine in full bloom: a 21-year-old single malt that brings the distillery’s dense, almost “marbled” house style to the fore—waxy texture, rich malt and dark fruit woven with elegant oak. The name points to the layered character in both aroma and taste: wave upon wave of honey, dried fruit and nutty tones that unfold slowly in the glass.
About the release This is a limited one-off bottling created to reveal a rarer side of Dailuaine—a distillery that usually works quietly as a backbone in classic blends. For “Marbled Treasures,” older casks were selected to add depth and sheen without overpowering the spirit; the aim is a mature Speyside profile with natural concentration and a long, harmonious finish. The bottle design echoes the idea of “marbling”: a crafted look that mirrors the whisky’s structured, silky mouthfeel and its subtle shifts between sweetness, spice and umami.
Nose Dark honey and dried apricot, baked apple and polished oak; then cocoa, walnut and a hint of wax and malty biscuit.
Palate Creamy and full-bodied with toffee, caramelised orange zest and dried fruit. The hallmark Dailuaine depth shows as discreet umami/toasted malt, balanced by spicy oak and a light mineral edge.
Finish Long, even and cohesive—nutty notes, dark chocolate, citrus oils and a dry, spicy oak echo that lingers.
Serve & pair Enjoy neat in a tulip glass, or add a few drops of water to lift the fruit and honey. Excellent with aged hard cheeses, mushroom dishes, confit duck or 70–80% dark chocolate.
