Delos is a new limited edition from Compass Box. It was created to honor an older Compass Box whisky, Asyla, which is no longer available, and it is certainly a worthy successor! The blend (this is a blended whisky – gasp!) includes whisky from, among others, Miltonduff, Glen Elgin, and the now-closed Imperial distillery. It is bottled at 49%, without chill filtration or added color, and only 5,520 bottles have been released.
Color: Amber.
Aroma: Fruity notes of ripe pear, pineapple, and vanilla.
Taste: The flavor is also full of fruit, but hints of chocolate, honey, and cardamom can also be detected.
