Clase Azul Tequila Gold 70 cl. 40%

Premium Gold Tequila

Clase Azul Gold is a new addition to the Clase Azul family, crafted from a blend of three other tequila varieties from Clase Azul: a young Plata, a Reposado aged in French oak barrels, and an Añejo aged in American bourbon barrels. After blending, the tequila is finished aging in sherry casks to create Clase Azul Gold.

The bottle is designed as a tribute to the beautiful Mexican landscape, when the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean and darkness slowly falls across the land.

Clase Azul is a family-owned tequila producer, crafting premium tequila in the small village of Santa Maria Canchesda in Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

This exclusive artisan tequila is made from blue agave, which grows in the highlands for nine to twelve years before being hand-harvested. The agave is then baked whole in traditional brick ovens for 72-80 hours. Once baked, the agave is crushed and fermented using natural yeast. After fermentation, the tequila undergoes double distillation in copper stills.

Collaboration with and respect for the indigenous Mazahua people, along with their ancient traditions in ceramics and painting, have given Clase Azul its distinctive bottles. Each bottle takes 11 days to craft, and since they are shaped and painted entirely by hand, every bottle is unique.

The aging process varies for each tequila type. Clase Azul Reposado is aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels. Clase Azul Añejo then uses these barrels to age for an additional 25 months. Clase Azul Ultra is aged for five years in sherry casks, giving it its deep reddish-brown color and silky smooth character.
