Blossa 2025 marks a bold new chapter in the annual release of Blossa’s vintage glögg: it’s the first edition ever built on a red wine base, breaking from the tradition of white-wine bases. Inspired by the snow-clad peaks and fresh alpine air of the Alps, the bottle, aroma and flavour all reflect this winter-mountain theme. On the nose you’ll find bright lemon zest, dried orange peel and vivid spruce shoots, with a hint of juniper underpinning a forest-clear character. The spices have been macerated for at least five months before being blended into the wine, adding depth and finesse. The taste is full-bodied yet balanced: the red wine gives richness, while the citrus and forest elements add clarity and freshness. Familiar glögg spices are present, but the overall impression leans gently toward a less-sweet, glühwein-influenced profile. Blossa 2025 is released as a fortified glögg with 15% ABV (available from September 10th via special order), with a non-alcoholic alternative following on November 1st. To accompany the launch, there’s a limited-edition mug made in collaboration with Rörstrand, adorned with alpine motifs for collectors and connoisseurs alike. This glögg works perfectly both chilled until Advent and then warmed as winter sets in, whether at a cozy gathering, during festive drinks or as part of your holiday tradition.
