Amrut Special Ltd. Ed – Lightly Peated Ex. Bourbon 60%
Limited Indian Single Malt Whisky
This Amrut is a single malt whiskey from India.
AND THIS IS HOW THIS WHISKEY GETS ITS GOOD TASTE
The basic ingredient in this single malt whiskey was of course malted barley. Amrut is a whiskey that is lightly smoked. The whiskey boasts a strong 60% vol. Here you will find round vanilla notes and sweet caramel aromas from the bourbon cask aging. This whiskey was left untouched. The rich color was only achieved through barrel aging. All the flavoring oils and esters are still preserved because the producer did not use cold filtration here. As you can see here, 2014 was a good vintage. It was bottled in 2021. The maturation period was therefore just 6 years. As a result, it still has a few rough edges that a longer period in the barrel would have softened. As only one cask was filled here, the number of bottles is strictly limited. There are only 150 bottles of this bottling. So make sure you grab a bottle now. Solve the mystery of barrel 1405.
