History: Aberlour is Gaelic and means “the mouth of the planking brook”, and the whiskey has got this name as the distillery is built next to pelvis lour. The distiller was built in 1879 by James Flemming, whose motto was “easy The Deed Show”, and with it he meant that the product should speak for themselves, and not taken for neither more nor less than what it is. The motto is printed on Aberlour’s labels, as a commitment for the descendants, which the product is still fully fulfilled.
