In 1945, Angelo Molinari developed the first product, “Sambuca Extra”, in the Molinari name. A product that has later become a synonym of the manufacturer, and today, it is argued that Molinari is the Creator behind the Spirit category “Sambuca”.

In 1975, Molinari Sud S.P.A in Colvice, who was then a whole new ultra-automated factory that was capable of producing whole 60,000 bottles a day.

This first product, “Sambuca Extra”, has become so popular both in Italy and the rest of the world that it is considered as the world’s leading Sambuca.
