Inchgower 13 Years – Adelphi Selection 2007/2020 is a characterful Speyside single malt from the coastal Inchgower distillery, bottled in small batches by independent bottler Adelphi. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2020, it is 13 years old and released in classic Adelphi style: natural colour, non-chill filtered and at high strength, giving a pure and concentrated expression of both cask and spirit.
Inchgower is known for its slightly waxy, spicy style with a discreet salty, maritime edge – something that really stands out here, where the higher strength lifts the fruit, spice and coastal notes.

Flavour profile (indicative)
Nose: Green and yellow fruits (apple, pear, a hint of peach), honey, vanilla and light caramel. Beneath the fruit lie notes of beeswax, fresh herbs, citrus and a gentle whiff of sea air and minerals.
Palate: Full-bodied and oily mouthfeel. Sweet malt and fruit up front, followed by spicy oak, pepper, ginger and a subtle salty edge. Nuances of citrus, nuts, wax and a touch of toffee add depth.
Finish: Medium to long, dry and warming with lingering spice, malt, lightly bitter orange zest, waxy notes and a faint salty minerality.
Serving suggestions Inchgower 13 Years – Adelphi Selection is best enjoyed as a contemplative sipping whisky:
Serve neat in a tulip-shaped glass.
A few drops of water can open up more fruit, wax and citrus and round off the spice.
Pairs nicely with firm, slightly salty cheeses, roasted nuts or simply on its own when you have time to explore the details.
