\nG.D. Vajra is a relatively young estate in Piedmont \u2013 and quite possibly the first in the region to embrace organic viticulture. Beautifully located in the hills near the town of Barolo and surrounded by the Alps, its vineyards allow grapes to ripen slowly, developing refined, fruit-driven expressions. A visit to the winery is as much a visual delight as it is an oenological one \u2013 winding mountain roads lead past Vajra\u2019s finest vineyards, where powerful vines yield consistently outstanding Barolo wines.
\nBarolo is often associated with prestige and exclusivity, but Vajra\u2019s philosophy is different: wine should bring joy and be accessible to everyone. Under the motto \u201cLife is beautiful\u201d, they create colourful, vibrant wines intended for any ordinary Tuesday as much as for special occasions.
\nVajra\u2019s style is characterised by elegance and freshness \u2013 often compared to Burgundy \u2013 thanks to vineyards located at around 400 metres above sea level. Since its founding in 1972, the family has expanded to 40 hectares, with Nebbiolo at its core.
